11.1 does not have this capability, 11.5 does.
I have 11.1, and I did the 'download maintenance release.' and it says it's up to date.

The maximum number of months you can have open is 18 months. Since your last closed month is June 2012, the number of open months is probably set to 6. 6 Was the default number in version 9 of PowerChurch.
