Problem saving reports
I just started using PowerChurch online on a different laptop. I've been using it on my desktop and a laptop for the past two years, and every month I run and save many reports to my hard drive. Tonight, when I tried to save a report (first time on this laptop), I get the option to choose the file type, but I never get the next option to name the file and choose where to save it. Any idea what might be wrong?

Just want to verify that you followed the directions as listed here.danacatlett wrote:I just started using PowerChurch online on a different laptop. Yes, I saw this. The problem is that I never get the prompt to choose a file location. I've always gotten it (and still do) on the other computers I use, but not since I started using this laptop.

My suggestion is this ... uninstall the IDS client, and download a fresh copy of the installer. Reboot the computer, then turn off your anti-virus to make sure it doesn't delete a file that's getting installed. Install the client, and then turn on the anti-virus, but add an exception for the directory where the IDS client and related files are stored.danacatlett wrote:Yes, I saw this. Try that and let us know what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did exactly what you said, with one change. I have McAfee, and this latest version of McAfee does not allow an exception for an entire directory. I did add each file in that IDS Client directory to the exception list. I don't know if that accomplishes the same result as an exception for the directory. At any rate, I'm still having the same problem.

It was worth a shot.danacatlett wrote:Thanks for the suggestion. I did exactly what you said, with one change. In my opinion, McAfee is more trouble than its worth, not having a directory exception is one of those problems, most other AV programs have that option.
That said, as a Powerchurch Online subscriber, you have free phone support, you may need to call tech support directly for them to assist you.
