Posting to previous year

Post by janehelp »

Hi

I closed the year 2014. I have been working on 2015 since January 2015.... Now I realize I still have some entries to post and report in 2014. Is it possible to post to previous year?

Thank you

In a word, nope ..

this is why you should not and really do not need to close months or years. You can have 18 months open at any one time, so you can have October 2013 thru March 2015 open. The only time you need to close a month, is when you need to open the next month. So, in April, I will close October 2013, and then have April 2015 available.

Is there another way of posting to previous year. Like maybe c/p files.

Can you suggest a way of doing this

Thank you

There is no way to post to a closed month. If you need to post you will have to use the date of 01/01/2015.

Here's a video that explains it all:
