2026 NC withholding

Post by fbctnc »

We are using version 15 online.
With the new 2026 tax tables in place should the NC w/h ($54) for January be so much less than ($337) that was paid each month most of the year in 2025. The monthly salaries are just a few hundred dollars above last month. There is not that much of a difference in Federal w/h.
Please advise. Thank you.

Did you review the North Carolina tax table instruction found here:

https://www.powerchurch.com/support/120 ... tax-tables

Are you using the ANNUALIZED method numbers? The example shown on the page above, is taken directly from the NC-30 publication. As Powerchurch is based in North Carolina, I would think they would get the calculations correct, as the NC tax is a simple percentage tax.

Are you certain that all the employees have the NC tax payroll item assigned?
