Finding the Computer Name and Workgroup/Domain Name in Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Server 2012, and Server 2016

To find the computer name and workgroup/domain name:

  • Right click the mouse on Computer or This PC and choose Properties.
  • On the window that opens, you will find the Computer Name and Workgroup or Domain name lsited at the bottom of the screen.


Take note of this for your workstation setup later.
