Merging Duplicate Accounting Funds (Versions 12 and higher)


Want to simplify your accounting system? Have duplicate accounting funds or funds that could be combined into one? Powerchurch has the ability to merge accounting funds. It's important to note that merging accounting funds is an irreversible change and once merged, all the history is put within the chosen accounting fund. The only way to reverse this action would be to restore a backup.

  1. First of all, use the PowerChurch Plus Backup feature located under the Utilities menu to make a backup copy of Accounting data. You may choose to backup All Data Files as an extra precaution.
  2. Start by navigating to Accounting > Fund Accounting > Setup and Merge Accounting Funds.
  3. Next, Read the warning and select the accounting funds you wish to merge. When sure of your selection click OK to finalize the merge.
  4. Navigate back to the Maintain List of Accounting Funds to verify your results.
