PowerChurch Plus - Canadian Features

PowerChurch Plus is customizable for Canadian users in the following ways:

Canadian terminology. The words "Province," "Postal Code," and "Cheque" automatically replace the corresponding U.S. terms after selecting "Canada (all other countries)" in the System Setup Options.

Separate lines for Postal Codes. When choosing the option "Print Postal Code alone on bottom line of address label" under Mailing Label Setup PowerChurch Plus will place the Postal Code on a separate line at the bottom of the label.

Canadian Tax Receipts. After Choosing the "Canada (all other countries)" option in the System Setup Options PowerChurch Plus can include Canadian tax information on contribution statements. You will be prompted for the tax information when creating contribution tax receipts. Unique receipt numbers are issued and an auditable log of receipts that have been issued is available as well. A scanned signature image can be imported and displayed on the receipts. When sent via e-mail, the receipt PDFs are write protected.

Canadian cheque layouts. PowerChurch Plus is compatible with the latest Canadian cheque layouts, and offers the ability to further customize the layout to ensure a perfect fit to your cheques.

European date format. An option is available in the System Setup Options to enable the date to be displayed as Day/Month/Year.

Reclaimable sales tax (HST). When entering Invoices or Manual Cheques a prompt is given to enter the sales tax. A percentage of this is calculated based on user settings in the Account Setup Options and debited into a specified asset account. Separate amounts for GST and PST are tracked.

Canadian payroll. PowerChurch Plus does not support the calculation of Canadian payroll taxes, nor does it directly generate Canadian income tax forms. Cheques can be generated using manually entered withholding figures and reports can be run for manual tax filings.
